PARAPROFESSIONAL ACCOUNTING PROGRAM

Our paraprofessional accounting program is one of the most comprehensive and respected programs in the area. It is geared to provide an advanced accounting foundation to the working adult or student who does not wish to pursue a bachelor degree at this time.

Two educational goals can be achieved in this program. An Associate in Science Degree in Accounting is designed to help a graduate meet the demands of any organization requiring skills in general accounting, cost accounting, and analysis of financial information. An Accounting Certificate will help students gain further knowledge of accounting for job advancement or to enter the work force. Both curriculums provide a strong foundation for an individual to become in charge of a corporate accounting function or to take full charge of the many accounting duties for a small business.

Students come from major companies in the health care field, aerospace, and from local companies, government agencies, and accounting firms. Many have been promoted to analysts, supervisors, or even higher positions. Others have used this newly found accounting knowledge to start their own bookkeeping practice as a home-based business.

In addition, one of the great benefits of this program is that if you do change your mind at a later date and wish to pursue an associate or bachelor degree, many if not all of the courses can apply toward a bachelor degree.
